What to do
Reply to the support ticket linked in the email with the requested documents. We forward to the registry on your behalf. The exact documents depend on the TLD:.eu. Proof of EU/EEA residence (utility bill, government-issued ID with EU address) or proof of EU/EEA citizenship..it. Proof of citizenship or residence in EU/EEA, San Marino, Vatican City, or Switzerland..hr. Croatian residency, business registration, or trademark registration matching the domain.
.eu post-Brexit for UK residents), there’s no path forward and the domain has to be transferred to an eligible registrant or surrendered.
What happens if you don’t act
The registry can suspend or delete the domain. We can’t override the registry’s decision; once the domain is removed from the zone, recovery is on the registry’s terms. For most registries this is a matter of weeks: suspension first, then deletion if the audit isn’t resolved. The deadline in the email is the date by which the response needs to land at the registry, not at us, so reply with time to spare.Need a hand?
