# .tech domains

> Generic TLD aimed at the technology sector. Open registration, run by Radix Registry.

`.tech` is a Radix-operated gTLD for technology brands, conferences, and product sites. It went public during the 2014 new-gTLD round and sits in the same niche as `.io` for naming.
