> Open second-level alternative to .it, run by CentralNic. No residency requirements.

`.it.com` is a second-level domain operated by [CentralNic](https://www.centralnicregistry.com/) (now part of Identity Digital). It's marketed to anyone who wants the Italian-feeling identifier without meeting `.it`'s EU/EEA eligibility rules.

Strictly speaking it isn't a TLD. It's a delegated zone under `.com`, but it behaves like a TLD from a registrant's perspective.
