# .info domains

> Generic TLD for informational sites. Run by Identity Digital, open registration, no eligibility checks.

`.info` was one of the first new gTLDs introduced after `.com`/`.net`/`.org`. Identity Digital runs the registry, and it remains a common pick when the `.com` is unavailable, especially for resource hubs and reference sites.

## Registry policy
