# .co domains

> Colombian country-code TLD, marketed globally as a short alternative to .com.

`.co` is Colombia's country-code TLD, but the registry has marketed it globally as a `.com` alternative since 2010. It's the default fallback for many startups when the matching `.com` is taken.

## Registry policy

| Renewal grace period | 25 days after expiry                      |
