# .at domains

> Austria's country-code TLD, run by nic.at. Open globally, with free transfers in.

`.at` is Austria's country-code TLD, operated by [nic.at](https://www.nic.at/). The registry dropped the local-presence requirement in 2014, so anyone in the world can register an `.at` today.

## Registry policy

* **IDN.** Supported (Austrian diacritics accepted in punycode).
* **Auth (EPP) code.** Issued instantly from the [domain panel](/domains/management/panel).
* **Free transfer in.** No transfer fee, expiry preserved.
