# Verification emails

> Every automated email Noxity sends about your domain. What triggers each one, what it asks of you, and what happens if you ignore it.

A handful of automated emails go out over the lifetime of a domain. Most are mandated by ICANN for gTLDs or by the operating registry for ccTLDs. They look the same every time: a clear sender, a clear action, a deadline.

Each email has its own page below. This overview is the lookup table to find which one you got and what to do about it.

<Tip>
All Noxity domain mail comes from `noreply@noxity.io` or a sub-domain of `noxity.io`. We never send domain notifications from a free webmail address, never ask for payment by wire transfer, and never link to a domain registry on a different brand. If something looks off, forward it to support and we'll confirm.

## Lifecycle map

| Trigger | Email | Deadline | Consequence if ignored |
| ------------------------------------------------------ | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- | -------------------------------------- | -------------------------------------------------------- |
| New gTLD registration with a not-yet-verified email | [Registrant email verification](/domains/registrations/contact-details/verification-emails/registrant-email) | 15 days | Domain suspended (registry holds DNS) |
| Registrant email changed on a gTLD | [Registrant email verification](/domains/registrations/contact-details/verification-emails/registrant-email) | 15 days | Domain suspended |
| Annual policy reminder (every gTLD, every year) | [WHOIS Data Reminder (WDRP)](/domains/registrations/contact-details/verification-emails/wdrp) | None | None directly. False data risks future audits. |
| Material change to registrant on a gTLD | [Change of registrant (TPP)](/domains/registrations/contact-details/verification-emails/change-of-registrant) | Configurable (typ. 5–10 days) | Change rolls back. Domain reverts to the old registrant. |
| Registry-initiated audit (`.eu`, `.it`, `.hr`, others) | [Eligibility audit](/domains/registrations/contact-details/verification-emails/eligibility-audit) | Set by the registry (typ. 14 days) | Domain suspended or deleted by the registry |
| Registry rejects a contact-data update | [Contact rejection notice](/domains/registrations/contact-details/verification-emails/contact-rejection) | Manual; resolve before retrying | The update doesn't apply; the old data stays |
| Outbound transfer initiated by a gaining registrar | [Transfer-out confirmation](/domains/registrations/contact-details/verification-emails/transfer-out) | Set by gaining registrar (typ. 5 days) | Transfer auto-completes. Domain leaves Noxity. |

## Spotting a fake

A few rules of thumb. Real Noxity domain mail:

* Comes from a `noxity.io` address. Hover over the sender before clicking anything.
* Links to a `noxity.io` URL or a known registry URL (`icann.org`, `eurid.eu`, `nominet.uk`, etc.). It does not link to lookalikes (`noxity.support`, `noxity-billing.com`).
* Spells out a specific domain name in the subject line, not "your domain" or "domain ending soon".
* Never asks for payment by wire transfer, gift card, or cryptocurrency.

If something fails any of these tests, don't click. Forward the message to `abuse@noxity.io` and we'll confirm whether it's real.
